Covid Baby

As if having your first baby isn’t hard enough. Having a child during covid is so exhausting both mentally and physically.

My son was 3 months old when I went back to work full time and 4 months old when the world shut down. Just when we started getting into a routine it got flipped upside down. We stayed inside isolated for 3 months. Groceries delivered and wiped down. My husband changed his work clothes in the garage and straight to the shower. My child was unable to see any of his family.

As he gets older it gets easier and harder. Easier because I can explain things more and he understands. Harder because I am always paranoid when he gets a runny nose. Could it be covid, a cold, teething, allergies or hand foot and mouth. I never know. Now teaching him about germs, masks, hand washing seems so confusing to him.

What I am trying to get at is, I see you exhausted mom putting on a brave face. I see the hard work you are putting into to keep your child safe.

The world has been so negative and dark for the past year. I want every mom reading this to know you are doing a great job! Keep shining girl! πŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›
